The User is informed and understands that the Gluci-Chek App permits recording their own data such as blood glucose tests, insulin doses, data transferred from the blood glucose meter or another compatible device to the Application. The User is aware that Roche Diagnostics France cannot collect or process any data, in particular personal details regarding the User or any other person whose data is entered in the Gluci-Chek App by the User, except for the cases mentioned below.

In such context, the User acknowledges that he is solely responsible for recording, processing and using the information he enters, under its sole control and direction, into the Gluci-Chek App, and agrees to take any sensible precautions, in particular in terms of secure access to their equipment/mobile device, so that said information cannot be accessed by unauthorized third parties. 2. Mallya device functionalities

a. Pairing action

Roche Diagnostics France offers User the ability – under consent – to pair Gluci-Chek App with the Mallya device, that automatically collects injection data (dose, date, hour) and transfers it in real time to the App through the Bluetooth® technology. To carry out the pairing action, permission to access the User's location needs to be requested (solely for Android User). The purpose is to enable Mallya to be detected through Bluetooth®. This access is only necessary to the pairing action from a technical point of view, and Roche Diagnostics France will never exploit nor keep this location data. The User’s consent is required because the Bluetooth® MAC address could be disclosed to Bluetooth® relays (phones, antennas) located in proximity.

b. User data in case of pairing

When using the Mallya device, the data collected is insulin delivery data, namely: selected dose, date of issue, time of delivery. The data collected is stored in the internal memory of the Mallya device. The Mallya device incorporates appropriate technical security measures to preserve the security and confidentiality of the data in order to, amongst others, prevent it from being distorted, damaged, disclosed and accessed by unauthorized third parties. Data is collected to be securely transmitted to the Application that will have previously been connected to the Mallya device, so that this mobile application can provide its functionalities. The Mallya device stores the last 100 insulin deliveries. All data collected in the internal memory of the Mallya device can be erased at any time by resetting it.
